NOW protests shutdown of AL Clinic

This is an update to: to this post: Shady abortion practices in Alabama

Now, one of the violations discovered was abortions being performed by non-licensed staff

But does that perturb these feminists?

Nooooooooo.

It's not unusual for feminists to defend ANY abortion provider, no matter how heinous his crime. Illegal murderers, sexual molesters, all manner of criminals-- if they perform abortions, NOW defends them.

You have to wonder how much they care about women if they're ready to defend these kinds of shady practices.

The fact that this clinic was shutdown means no more "unsafe" abortions at incompetent hands.

Imagine if that was any other operation: would you want your tonsils removed by a non-licensed individual? Heck, I'd be nervous about getting a tatoo from an amateur (not that I'd get one...).

It's a shady world. Stay tuned for more sketchy behaviour. I can guarantee it'll happen again. This is part and parcel with legalized abortion.

Fr. Pavone on Florida Clinic Closings: More Evidence that Abortion Remains the Most Unregulated Industry

MEDIA ADVISORY, Aug. 17 /Christian Newswire/ -- Florida authorities have suspended the operating licenses of two abortion facilities and temporarily shut down three others following the alleged performances of illegal late term abortions. These actions come on the heels of two Alabama clinic closings last week for state regulatory violations and a report this week that a baby may have been born alive at yet another Florida abortion facility and then killed.

Fr. Frank Pavone, national director of Priests for Life, reacted to these developments: "The weak points of the abortion industry are the clinics and the abortionists. For years, Priests for Life has been writing and preaching that abuses like those uncovered in Florida and Alabama are going on routinely nationwide. We urge authorities in every state to step up their inspections of abortion clinics. I guarantee that more of the same will be discovered. As far as we are concerned, they should all be shut down today - for the good of the mothers as well as the babies."
