32 week abortion illegal in Nepal...but Canadian feminists think it shouldn't be

This is a story about abortion in Nepal. In this country, abortion on demand is legal until 12 weeks, and until 18 weeks for cases of rape, incest and the mother's health.

The article features the case of one woman who was pregnant and had an illegal abortion at 32 weeks.

The reason she waited until 32 weeks to have the abortion is that her husband is a migrant worker and he hadn't come home, and they hadn't made the decision.

You get the impression that the author of the article is trying to push for greater legalization.

Thirty-two week abortion because of poverty? Why not! It's legal in Canada.

And Canadian feminists are perfectly okay with that. They have no sympathy with the unborn children having to die. "Fetuses are not that important" after all, as Joyce Arthur says.

And if you point out that they have no sympathy for the unborn child, they will snarkily (izthat a word?) react about how pro-lifers care about TEH BABEEZ...

like denouncing killing babies is a bad thing.
