Planned Parenthood calls pro-life orgs "Terrorist"

I learned at Go Pundit Go via The Waffling Anglican that Planned Parenthood has tagged pro-life groups as "Terrorists".

This inflated rhetoric is ridiculous and screams of desperation in the face of crumbling support for abortion in the United States.

Some of the "terrorist" tactics used by pro-life groups include: leafleting, sidewalk counseling, action alerts and the like.

The cold-hearted killers!

Someone should tell these folks at Planned Parenthood that if you're going to brand someone with an analogous label, the analogy has to fit. The moral horror of the two things has to be comparable. Comparing rosary-praying grannies at abortion clinics to cold-hearted Palestinian suicide bombers is beyond the pale. It sounds like they're so afraid that people won't buy into their ideology that they have to play it up with rhetoric to make it way scarier than we really seem. I'm involved in the pro-life movement. The overwhelming majority of pro-lifers are peaceful, ordinary people who are committed to peaceful, democratic action to favour fetal rights. Jihadis WANT to kill. Pro-lifers don't. The few extremists who do attempt to bomb clinics (and they do not happen that often!) are resoundingly condemned in the pro-life community.

They're really doing their cause a lot of harm by painting the opposition that way. The middle-of-the-road person, when he sits and thinks about it, will see through the rhetoric, and will understand he's being manipulated.
