Age of Consent Bill

Received via email:
One of the last acts of Parliament before the summer recess was the introduction of the Bill C-22 for first reading. This bill will see the legal age for teens to consent to sexual acts with an adult raised from age 14 to age 16. The passage of this bill will protect teenagers from adult predators. It will also benefit police working on child pornography, underage prostitution and internet luring cases. This bill will receive second and third readings and likely go to committee for discussion. Now is the time for MP's to hear from their constituents. Remember this bill is of no value until it becomes law. Dolina Smith our past president said "I am convinced the only people who will be opposed to this law are the people who want to use children".

Only personal involvement will make a difference, help C.A.S.E. protect children from sexual exploitation.

We thank you for your support.
