We are perfectly capable of speaking for ourselves

It seems that Alison at Creekside thinks that we somehow "need" feminism:

Dear REAL Women : How much clout do you think your little club would have in a world without feminism, given that even if you're a REAL good little chicken, Colonel Sanders can't marry each and every one of you?

We are just as capable as you are of making our point as you are of making yours. We do not need feminists to do it for us. We can gain power, too, with none of your help. If you could do, we can do it, too.

Just because we are not feminists does not mean we do not believe we have a right to have a voice.

Should anyone trample on our rights to speak, our right to live as we choose, the right to worship and to be anything we choose to be, as traditional (and sometimes not-so-traditional) women we will assert ourselves, not using socialist secular humanistic principles, but our own and on our own terms.

Feminists have bought into the BS that if you reject feminism, that, by definition, makes you a meek, servile, wallflower without a will or thought of your own. You are a June Cleaver/Stepford Wife clone who has no aspirations and lives vicariously through her husband and children.

Quite frankly, it's blatant bigotry. All you have to do to dispel it is talk to women who are traditional-minded. Their personal characteristics vary just as much as those who profess feminism.

See, folks, we don't need you to speak for us. Especially not a government agency. The fact a government agency perpetuates values we reject, without consulting what we think is wrong and undemocratic.

And we're not going to take it.
