Poland: New law would allow burial of fetuses and embyros

As per Genethique.org, it is being reported that Poland is proposing a law to allow fetuses and embryos to be buried. Right now, only babies weighing more than 501 grams or born after 22 weeks are buried, because otherwise no death certificate is issued, which is necessary for a public burial. Unborn babies who do not meet that criteria are often incinerated. This law would only apply to miscarried babies and stillborns. Abortion is mostly illegal in Poland.
