I'm not one to knock a good idea from a party even if I mostly disagree with it.Catherine Bell, the NDP MP for Vancouver Island North, is collecting email signatures for a petition on proportional representation.
I'm not keen on "straight" proportional representation, where parties get MP's allotted according to the percentage of votes. I would prefer a points system where you get to make 1st, 2nd and 3rd choices.
Still, I think it would be more democratic than what we have now. Please sign the petition. It's a worthwhile cause.
