US Abortion group makes PBA Ban seem like it bans all abortion

Most people think that partial birth abortion (seen above) is absolutely hideous as a procedure and cruel to the unborn child.

Not NARAL and their like-minded supporters. If an unborn child has to suffer and die for the benefit of women, too bad! If a baby has to be aborted at 20, 25, 30 weeks or more-- who cares, right? It's just a fetus, anyway, and if you care, you're a fetus fetishist. Caring about fetuses means that you demean women and don't care about them, no matter how many hours you devote to the welfare of women. It all boils down to whether or not you reject the idea of fetal rights. The rest is immaterial.

Anyhow.

NARAL knows that most people support the ban on this procedure. They also don't want to use the phrase "partial birth abortion"-- because the "partial birth" part is what makes the abortion seem so heinous.

So what do they do? They call it the Federal Abortion Ban.

They make it seem like there's a blanket ban on abortions.

They could have called it the D and X abortion ban. That would have been accurate and satisfactory. Or by some other name.

But no-- they have to make it seem worse than it actually is in order to rouse the troops.

Now why would they need that? Could it be that most pro-choicers support the ban, and that calling to fight a "D an X ban" might not really rouse the hearts of their militants? Could it be that the only way to get their supporters riled up is to make it seem worse than it really is?

You can read more about it here.
