Trust women with abortion...but not with other decisions

Recently, Feministing fumed against a proposed Missouri law that would require a doctor to certify that an abortion was safer than other alternatives.

The feminist line is that women are trustworthy-- all the time. They are smart enough to know what they're doing with a surgical operation.

However, if a woman decides to go to a Crisis Pregnancy Centre to get alternative information: well then she's stupid. She has to be infantilized and assumed that, like a child, she will be "tricked" into doing something that she does not want to do.

Why are women trustworthy when it comes to them making a decision about a surgical procedure such as abortion, but they're not when it comes to going to a Crisis Pregnancy Centre?

Oh I get it: women are trustworthy when they agree with feminists.
