Birth Pangs: wrong again

I find it hilarious when Birth Pangs tries to debunk pro-lifers and doesn't even know what their own side says.

deBeauxOs says:

In typical zygote zealot style, the American Life League claims that “The Pill Kills Babies”. Hmmm, no - that’s not how the Pill works. The reason that the Pill is called an oral contraception is because it prevents conception. The synthetic hormones temporarily stop ovulation, also known as the release of an egg into the fallopian tubes. There is nothing for sperm to fertilize. Zip. Nada. Bupkis. Rien du tout.

Rien du tout, huh? Isn't that interesting. Then explain the perfect use failure rate for the Pill.

That should be a clue. But googling "Planned Parenthood" and "birth control pill" can easily debunk what she says:

How does the birth control pill work?

The birth control pill works in different ways:

* It stops your ovaries from releasing an egg each month.

* It makes the mucus in the cervix thicker. It is harder for the sperm to travel into the cervix. The cervix is the opening to the uterus.

* The lining of the uterus becomes thinner. This makes it harder for a fertilized egg to attach to the uterus.

So the Birth Control pill not only prevents conception, but it makes it difficult for the blastocyst (not an egg at that point) to attach to the uterus.

In essence, killing new human life.

(By the way, a 70-100 cell human organism is hardly "an egg").
