Tories to introduce bill to replace C-484

Says the Globe and Mail.

I am reserving judgment on the Bill.

I think it's a good first step. But I am disappointed that it probably will not acknowledge the loss of a fetus as a crime. To me, that has always been the sticking point. An assault that results in the death of a fetus is not just "an assault". It is depriving a woman of a cherished baby.

I wonder how the opposition will react to this, especially feminists. Some of them are apparently opposed to even this weak measure.
