Canada's 2010 abortion stats are out

There are huge holes in the stats.
Quebec did not report any abortion information, and B.C. and Manitoba's clinic information is incomplete.

It's time we lobby the government for better stats. This is unacceptable.

That being said, as I read the document, I got the impression that CIHI was trying hard to provide useful information. The document provides a number of tables I don't recall seeing in other years. For instance, 537 abortions were performed in hospitals after 21 weeks LMP. And that's without the stats from Quebec. That gives a more accurate picture of late-term abortion in Canada. If Quebec would just produce its stats, it would probably confirm my hunch that there are about 1000 late-term abortions done in Canada.
