Partial Birth Abortion...The French Way

In 2007, the Supreme Court of the United States upheld a federal law banning a method of killing unborn children known as Partial Birth Abortion.

It consisted of birthing a baby until only the head was inside, stabbing the baby in the head, and then sucking the brains out.

This event made news around the world. It was so popular, that today, millions of people around the world think that this is how third trimester abortions are performed, when in fact it's probably an American-only phenomenon. I have not seen any evidence of any PBA's done in any country other than the U.S., Praise God.

However, I just learned of a method of abortion that I consider pretty sick that I have dubbed "French Partial Birth Abortion."

I read of it on a document put out by the French College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

It consists of birthing a baby until the head and upper body is out and then committing feticide by injecting the umbilical cord with a lethal agent such as potassium chloride. This must occur before the first breath, so technically, it could even occur after complete expulsion.

Here's the quote for those of you who read French:

Certaines équipes réalisent le foeticide en perpartum. Les produits foeticides sont injectés dans le cordon après le dégagement de la tête et de la partie supérieure du corps et avant la première respiration de l’enfant. Dans ce cas, la coordination doit être parfaite dans l’équipe au moment de l’expulsion.

(Can be found on page 14 of 23 in the document).

I have made a number of Google searches and it appears that this method is unique to France.

This just goes to show that they are always inventing new ways of killing unborn-- or in this case partially born-- children.
