Do You Want To Not Be Raped, Or Do You Want Men to Stop Raping?

The blurb on the meme says:

"We live in a society that teaches women not to get raped instead of teaching men not to rape."

The blogger proceeds to give us a long list of analogies of why that doesn't work:

WE ALSO LIVE IN A SOCIETY THAT:

Tells people not to smoke cigarettes due to health risks.
They do it anyway.
Tells people not to drink and drive.
They do it anyway.
Tells people not to have unprotected sex due to health risks.
They do it anyway.
Tells people not to drive without their seat belts on.
They do it anyway.
Tells people not to text and drive.
They do it anyway.
Tells people not to do dangerous drugs.
They do it anyway.

Etc. etc

Then he (she?) comments:
How’s all that telling people not to do s*** working out? I’m pretty sure those without a moral compass don’t give a f*** what you think they should or shouldn’t do.

Do you want men to stop raping, or do you want to avoid being raped? You can't stop all rape. You are able to control those factors that contribute to encouraging rape. Sorry, a drunken, scantily clad girl at party full of horny guys is a potential target. Drunk, horny men don't have much of a moral compass. Feminism goes right out the window.
