A Call for National Prayer Re: Euthanasia and Assisted Suicide in Canada

SUPREME COURT OF CANADA TO DETERMINE LEGALIZATION OF ASSISTED SUICIDE AND EUTHANASIA IN CANADA -

OCTOBER 15, 2014

AN URGENT NEED FOR NATIONAL PRAYER

On Oct. 15, 2014, the Supreme Court of Canada is set to hear the Carter vs Canada case that seeks to legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia in Canada.

A ruling from the highest court in Canada in favour of euthanasia and assisted suicide could very well change federal law that currently prohibits counseling or assisting someone to commit suicide. The ramifications of such a ruling are immense and are of grave concern; it would effect a monumental shift in Canadian societal values and attitudes towards life, have a direct impact upon the medical profession and how patient care is delivered, and put at risk the lives of many Canadians, especially those who are most vulnerable.

There is an urgent need for our nation to unite in prayer to oppose the legalization of assisted suicide and euthanasia

Please join in praying, from coast to coast, to oppose the legalization of euthanasia and assisted suicide in Canada and to pray for respect for life from conception until natural death. Pray for our country, our judges, our law makers, physicians, health care workers, those who are working to prevent the legalization of euthanasia/assisted suicide, the vulnerable sick and the dying, and for those who have been misguided into believing that suicide is something that should be endorsed by our society and our medical profession.
