Since the wishes started pouring in the CBC has been treated with disdain for irresponsibly opening the floodgates. That's a poor reaction. Facebook and the applications behind it are a way of connecting, but they don't have to determine how we manage those connections. CBC, like any organization with a sizable constituency, is using IT to find new ways to listen. You shouldn't stop listening just because you encounter some things other people don't want to hear.
