I find it disappointing that a majority of Americans support the death penalty. A rich country like the US does not have to kill its convicted murderers. If it can afford nuclear weapons and conventional arms, it can afford to incarcerate its worst criminals without taking their lives. Protection of society is of paramount concern, but if we can protect without killing, we should._________________________
