I've been reading quite a bit about Hollywood and abortion, lately.
It seems that many in Hollywood are loathe to depict getting abortions.
Of course, that's a good thing. But to say that Hollywood is pro-life is a stretch.
There are many reasons why women decide against abortion that have nothing to do with upholding the rights of unborn children. It is more palatable for audiences to see women forego abortion, but you will never seen any sympathetic Hollywood character treat the unborn child as a human being.
And there lies the problem.
Sure, you might get films like Look Who's Talking where the fetus seems to have his own personality-- but that's done with personification,the way a kid's show might personify an animal. There is no serious suggestion that the fetus is a human being.
