And we're off! 40 Days for Life has begun.

Please remember to pray for the unborn. We want to rid the whole world of abortion.

If you cannot make it to the abortion clinic, please pray at home.

I think it's important to implore the Blessed Mother to end abortion.

The reason for this has to do with the fact that Mary is the mother of Jesus. Since Jesus is always ready to do the will of his mother, she should be the one to bring our petitions to him.

You may have seen this image of Our Lady of Guadeloupe at pro-life protests.

When Our Lady appeared to Juan Diego, she proclaimed herself to be the "Mother of all Men". She wears the special belt that shows she is pregnant with the unborn Jesus. Thus, in this image, she is the mother of all men by being the mother of the unborn Jesus.

Jesus is thus shown to be an equal human being, and not just some blob of tissue.

And that's why her image is paraded at pro-life protests.
