I can't believe they`re still doing saline abortions

This is an abstract from a journal from Thailand. It documents a study on saline abortions in the second trimester.

For those unfamiliar with the process, it involves injecting a solution in the amniotic sac. The baby dies from either being burned or drinking the liquid.

Why is saline abortion said to be an option?

Because saline abortions are thought to be more effective in killing babies, with fewer side effects.

The babies were, on average, at least 22 weeks gestation, well over the pain threshold.

A number of the babies were killed because they had Down Syndrome.

Note how anxious the authors are to make sure that there are no liveborn babies.

I wonder what they would think after being introduced to Gianna Jessen , a survivor of the same kind of abortion for which they are advocating.
