This blew my mind.
A fetus is not supposed to survive two tubal pregnancy past 12 weeks.
In this study, a tubal pregnancy of 14 weeks, and one-- incredibly-- of 26 weeks-- were documented. By the time the doctors examined the patients, the babies were dead.
I'm just astounded that babies could survive that long.
Pictures of the children are provided. The baby who survived until 26 weeks was quite deformed. If you look at the head, it seems abnormally flattened. Having developed in the fallopian tube, his body did not have the room to develop normally.
I'm just wondering how a woman can have a tubal pregnancy last that long and not die.
