China plans tougher laws on sex-selection abortion

China will be spelling out the punishments for sex-selection abortions.

Gee...do you think the fact that the punishments were not stated in the law might have something to do with the fact they're still practiced?

I wonder if anyone will be sent to jail for this crime. That might be interesting in light of the recent controversy on whether women who abort should be given jailtime.

I love this snippet from the China Daily News:

That is a hoot. I wonder what law has to say about sex selection abortions and women's health.
